Terms & Conditions

BY AGREEING TO OUR SERVICES, CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AS STATED IN THIS AGREEMENT.

By agreeing to any service provided by Toronto Maids and accepting a professional cleaning service, the client agrees to accept Toronto Maids’ general terms and conditions listed below. These terms and conditions, along with our cleaning schedule and our letter of confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between both parties (the Company and the Customer) and no other oral or written statements shall be binding upon the parties. If any part of this agreement were to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining parts shall remain effective.

If you are unsure about any of these terms and conditions, please contact us for clarification. Your statutory rights are not affected in this case. In the event that these terms and conditions are modified or updated, we will notify our customers in writing.

Toronto Maids does not lock you in. If you would like to cancel our service for any reason, just call anytime to end service.

By accepting professional cleaning service appointments and agreeing to a service provided by Toronto Maids the client agrees to accept Toronto Maids’ general terms and conditions listed below. These terms and conditions, together with our letter of confirmation and our cleaning schedule, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and no other representation or statements, whether oral or written, shall be binding upon the parties. If any part of this agreement is help to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

If you are unsure about any point within these terms and conditions, please contact us for clarification. Your statutory rights are not affected. In the event that the terms and conditions change we will notify you in writing.

We stand by our service! If you’d like to cancel for any reason whatsoever, just call anytime to end service. Toronto Maids contract does not lock you in. You may skip, cancel or reschedule any of your cleaning appointments, with a 24-hour notice. Without a 24-hour notice, you will be liable for a $70.00 cancelation fee.

We offer a 24-hour 100% satisfaction guarantee in the event that you are not satisfied with any area of your home that was included in the cleaning service, call us within 24 hours and Toronto Maids’ staff will return to clean those areas for free. This 100% satisfaction guarantee applies only for re-ocurring Customers (e.g., weekly, biweekly, etc.)

You receive 5% OFF by prepaying for a year’s cleaning service before the first re-occurring service appointment (after your first service). You are free to cancel at any time by giving a period of one cleans notice. In the event of cancelation, you shall pay the 5% that was initially taken off the annual amount, which will be subtracted from the remainder annual amount to be returned.

If you book a recurring service (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning), and then cancel after the first cleaning, you service will be charged a one-time cleaning rate.

Sometimes it is difficult to arrive at the exact scheduled time. Our regular service hours are Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday by appointment. Occasionally, we will need to clean your home in the AM when it is scheduled for the afternoon. This is not frequent and we understand this might represent a nuisance. We will make every effort on our side to accommodate your needs and schedule.

The cost of services include the provision of reasonable equipment and supplies from our company. Any additional cleaning tasks that require extra equipment or supplies will be billed additionally.

If you need additional cleaning tasks that are not included in your regular cleaning service, please contact us at least one business day in advance to schedule the additional work. If this requires a change in schedule, it could create changes in fees.

Payment is based on our service provided until your home is cleaned, and not on the amount of time our professional cleaning team spends at your home. Our team will focus on delivering a cleaning service until your home is cleaned, and not how many hours they work. However, our schedule is based on the average time it takes for a home in an “average” condition to get cleaned. Toronto Maids reserves the right to bill for extra time spent if the average cleaning time is exceeded by 1 hour due to the home not being in an “average” condition.

Sometimes we are called in too late to clean items or areas that will take a couple of cleanings to look their best or that are damaged. We will work with you to figure out a solution to these spots in your house.

Toronto Maids reserves the right to bill for additional fees in the case that our professional house cleaners encounter distractions that interfere with their performance. These distractions may include (but are not limited to) pets, third parties, or contractors.

If any employee of Toronto Maids feels, for any reason, that their personal safety or integrity is in danger in such a way that they feel forced to leave the job site, due to actions by the Customer or others at the job site, the customer will remain liable for the full cost of the job.

The client agrees to contact Toronto Maids to notify us if any person in their household is suspected of contracting an infectious disease, virus, or bacteria. This must be notified as soon as possible, but at least 24 hours before a scheduled visit. Toronto Maids reserves the right to cancel the cleaning to preserve our housekeepers’ safety and wellbeing.

Items of extreme monetary or sentimental value are to be cleaned only by the owner. We assume no liability for damage or loss of items that were damaged or not secured properly before cleaning. Examples of these items include (but are not limited to) heavy pictures that are not properly hung in a secure way, or dings that were present in furniture before our team arrived. Toronto Maids will assume no liability for loss or damage that was caused due to the negligence of the Customer.

Toronto Maids has a “No Check / Charge Credit card” policy. We expect a full payment the day of the cleaning. We accept all credit cards. All services will be charged at the time of cleaning. Cancelations will be charged to credit card. Any NSF check returned from your bank will be assessed an additional $30 fee as allowed by law.

All housekeepers working for Toronto Maids have agreed in their work contract that they or their family members will not accept direct employment from a Toronto Maids Customer, unless the Customer pays the exit fee (see next paragraph). The agreement is in full force and effect during the time that the housekeeper is employed with Toronto Maids, and for a period of one year after their work agreement is terminated with Toronto Maids. We ask that you do not request or accept the service of any professional Toronto Maids housekeeper, except through Toronto Maids.

If you decide to follow through with the hiring of a current or former employee, a $1740.00 referral fee will be charged. After the referral has been paid, Toronto Maids will no longer take responsibility for the housekeepers management, including customer (but not limited to) the housekeepers’ scheduling, taxes, quality of services, liability protection, and the customers’ information security, liability insurance, satisfaction guarantee or any other guarantees related to the work and performance of the housekeeper.

Toronto Maids agrees to keep clients’ information confidential and secure all keys or any other access method to their homes (e.g., entry codes). Please remember to make your home accessible to our cleaners, either via a key, an entry code and/or a disabled security system.
